These post caps add charm and protection to your deck posts.

The most important preventative maintenance is to protect the end grain on the log post top. As with all of the copper log post caps that we offer, they are handmade one at a time per order to fit your needs and will stand the test of time. By introducing any style of copper log post cap to your deck or dock, you are ensuring years and generations of maintenance-free enjoyment.

To Measure for Post Caps, be sure to measure all your log posts to achieve a nice fit. Take the widest diameter across the top of your deck or dock post, caps are made in 1/4" increments, if your measurement falls in between sizes, it is up to you if you want to round up or down on the quarter inch. For a snugger fit, you may need to remove a small amount of material from your post either by sanding or grinding with an angle head grinder and a rough grit of sandpaper (60) grit. If you round up on the size your caps may be a little loose which can be cured with the special "sizing tape".  Applying a little clear caulk is also a nice finishing touch for those gaps between the log and post cap.

Attaching your deck/dock post caps - the Sedona copper log end cap comes standard with three small holes and copper-plated tacks for installing. We also recommend using a good exterior adhesive.

We can also custom-order Log end caps, purlin cover or beam cover/end caps to protect your exposed structural logs. Copper Cone piling caps/harbor caps or pier caps for your log posts are also available in our hand-hammered antique copper. Please call us with your measurements for a quote. A photo or drawing e-mailed is very helpful in custom applications.

Our Sedona and Tiara copper log end post caps are made of solid natural copper .032" thickness or 24 ounces / SQ FT or nearest gage (B & S) 20 and over time will patina, developing a beautiful antique finish which will blend in with your log home decor.

All of these Sedona copper caps are made to order, so remember to allow 3-5 weeks of lead time.

How To Measure:
Measure the largest diameter of all posts & round Up or Down to the nearest 1/4". You may need to remove a small amount of material from the top outside edge of your post to achieve a nice fit.

General Notes:
All copper is provided in the natural state & will develop a beautiful patina over time. The copper does go through a darkening uneven color stage in the process. Minor mars, imperfections and /or color variations are characteristics of copper & virtually disappear as the copper ages & develops its patina. Due to the custom nature of our products, Log Home Mart is not responsible for improper measurements provided to us.  All copper products are handmade to order and all sales are final.

Post Caps range in diameter from 3" - 15" with 1/4" increments and a 1" lip.

Preserve the value of your log home with the finishing touch

Elegantly crafted copper adds beauty while preserving your investment.

We offer a range of Copper post caps to protect your posts against rot; jack wraps to protect the base of your posts; railing wraps to complete and protect your railings, and copper door kickplates to add finish and protection to your doors.

Round, square or rectangular copper deck post caps prevent rot to your post tops by protecting the wood against the elements. This protection is the most cost-effective protection you can give your home.

To preserve your round deck posts, use one of two different styles: the Sedona, and the Tiara.  Ask us about what we offer for square and rectangular deck posts. Protect your handrails with our railing wrap and hide the unsightly screw-jacks at the bottom of your posts with the copper jack-wrap cover.

Copper products do patina as they age and are exposed to the elements, developing into a beautiful antique finish over time, which will blend in with your log home decor.
